Projects

Through various projects, the CSD seeks to strengthen the response capacity of different institutions, entities, and communities for the detection and care of people with intellectual disabilities.

Our Projects

Some of the projects developed in recent years are:

  • Consulting, training, and support for educational institutions serving people with cognitive disabilities and Down syndrome in the development of curriculum guidelines, admission criteria, assessment, promotion, care models, and flexibility guidelines; projects carried out with the Ministry of National Education, the Capital District Education Secretariat, and the Saldarriaga Concha Foundation.
  • Virtual classrooms set up to train families of kids with Down syndrome in 30 municipalities in Colombia. Projects done with the Ramírez Moreno Foundation and the CEPSA Social Work Award.
  • Training for officials and identification, design, and implementation of reasonable adjustments in the care pathway at the Comfamiliar-Pereira, Comfandi-Cali, Comfasucre-Sincelejo, and Barranquilla Mayor's Office Opportunity Centers. Project carried out between the Special Administrative Unit of the Public Employment Service and the Corona Foundation's Productivity Pact Program.

Through its projects, the Corporation has benefited a much larger population of people with intellectual disabilities due to different causes throughout the country. We have trained 700 teachers, 540 families, and 114 educational institutions, indirectly benefiting more than 3,500 children with cognitive disabilities.

We have the ability to structure the project according to your requirements. For more information grd@corporacionsindromededown.org
