We promote workplace inclusion as a path to independence and social participation. We work alongside companies and families to ensure that every person with Down syndrome finds a place where they can contribute, grow, and be recognized.
Starting in 2009, support began for young people whose life plan includes working, being part of the workforce that drives this country, and being recognized as individuals for their skills, experience, performance, and contributions to the growth and development of the companies where they work.
In April 2009 Kristian Mach Esguerra and their parents, founders of CSD, in partnership with the Corporation and the company Arquitectura e Interiores – AELtook a big step toward building labor and social inclusion, creating a model of business employment opportunities for people with Down syndrome. It has been a journey full of learning and challenges to overcome, always led with the responsibility, passion, and joy that Kristian taught us.
Thanks to the effort and tenacity of young people, the trust of families, and the credibility of companies, with a serious and structured process to achieve labor inclusion, we have advised and worked with nearly 35 companies where there are workers who are employed, some with a track record of more than 12 years, with successful experiences for both people with Down syndrome and their families and for companies.
In companies from different economic sectors, linked to more skilled occupational profiles, such as administrative assistants, human resources processes, service areas, customer service, document management, and others.
We provide specialized technical assistance to implement best practices for the inclusion of people with Down syndrome in the workplace, following a supported employment methodology tailored to the characteristics of the local labor market:
The first experience opened the doors for young people to join companies year after year, fulfilling each of their dreams and life plans.
